Cathedral of Bogota - San Pedro








It's located in "La plaza de bolivar" in la Candelaria the center of Bogotá.
This church was the first of Bogota the history said that they were 12 huts and the church.
It was built on 1538 and was inagurated by Fray Batolomé de las casas, who made the first mass.
It has a neoclassical architectonic style, the matirial that characterizes this cathedral is the marble.
The cathedral is in the same place where was the 12 huts, here were buried Gonzalo Jimenez de Quezada (Bogota faunder), Antonio Nariño (journalist, political and military of the Nueva Granada that helped Colombia for the independence)
